Where did the time go?

I did not realize that I was so behind on posting. I have got to do better this next year. So, here are some shots that I have taken in the last 5 or 6 months.

So here are some more hummingbirds. I don't tire of photographing them. I need some different flowers so I can get some different shots

It was National Dog Day so I had to get a shot of our 3 sweeties. Buddy, Shady and Molly

I have always wanted to get a shot with hummers defending their food and I finally got one.

Austin had noticed that this building finally had all of the equipment moved out from the front so we went by one evening to grab a shot. The next few days they moved the equipment back in so I am glad we went when we did.

This was taken at the Cabarrus county fair. Jessica, Gayle, Amber, Andrew, Ned and Austin and I went. This is a shot I have wanted to get for a couple of years.

Topaz doing the thing he does best

The sunflowers at Millingport

At a cruise in in Kannapolis. I had thought that an old car in front of the Gem theatre would be cool.

Austin, Matt Irvin, and I went to Indian mound for their Look at the Stars night. We asked to go inside because they were not letting people in (They were out in a field watching the stars) We got to go in and shoot the milky way inside the grounds. I thought it was cool. This was Oct. 17. We also did a little light painting.

The Christmas parade in Kannapolis. I had wanted to get a shot of an old truck with a Christmas tree in the bed. Dec. 12th

This next 2 are at Oakboro cruise in.

This is out off of highway 8

So Salisbury had a zombie walk, it was supposed to be before Halloween but it got rained out. This was in November.

I have wanted to get a photo of this sign for several years. I thought about it one morning before I went to work. I was blessed that it was so foggy. And this was the last morning that it was lit.

Some colorful buildings in Concord. Some of the windows and doors are painted on.

This is at Big Lick. Mineral Springs church puts on an awesome event that is free to the public. I love the old house and how they had it decorated for Christmas. It was Santa's home away from home

This is one of my former student's children sitting on Santa's lap

The next couple of photos were taken at Bost Grist Mill. Mrs. Bost passed away last May, but her husband and her daughter had  it decorated very pretty. The tree below had lots of the ornaments that Mrs Bost had collected over the years and the dress is one she would wear at the old fashioned days

Some of our neighbors and their children brought cookies to the neighbors and sang us a Christmas song. That was so nice.
My son got this pet monster for Christmas when he was 10 days old. He is now 29 so this monster has been with our family for a while. I loved how people were taking pictures of their children or grandchildren reading a book in front of the tree so I thought that Monster would be a good subject.
The next several pictures are from the new park in Charlotte.

The next few photos were taken at Shiloh church during their open house in Dec.

This was close to the church. I loved how the tall pine trees lined the drive to the little house.
