April - Blossom Time of Souls

I have always loved blue bachelor button flowers, when I rode by this field of them early this morning- I was thrilled.

A dear friend of mine gave me some of this plant a couple of years ago. Last year it did ok, but this year it is showing off.

I think I say this about all my flowers, but this is an iris that I think might be my favorite.

Went out in the early morning to get some photos. I love morning light.

April is my favorite time of year. The flowers are starting to bloom and the dogwoods are in all their glory. Everything is coming back to life after the cold days of winter.

Memorial Gardens in Concord

It was so pretty on April 5, that on the 12th, we went back. The tulips were still blooming- some were more beautiful and some were a little past their peak. Anyway, I got some more photos. I decided I would carry my old 70-300 lens and shoot a little. I also got a shot of a dogwood tree with the old courthouse in the background.

The Memorial Gardens in Concord was blooming beautifully April 5, 2014. I have never been there when the tulips were blooming. It was awesome. I also got a shot of the mural that is downtown and the What-a-Burger.
